My standard rate is £60 per hour. I also offer a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate of £25 for people on means-tested benefits or low incomes.
I offer an initial session of 60 minutes to allow a potential client to meet me and decide if it feels like a good fit for us to work together. It’s also an opportunity for me to assess if I think I am the right counsellor for you – sometimes I might feel it’s better to refer you on to a colleague if I think I don’t have the right skillset or attributes to work with you. This session is free and there is no obligation to continue. If after meeting, either of us decides not to go ahead then there is no charge. You don’t have to decide on the spot – it can be a good idea to take some time to go away and think about it. If we both decide to work together, I will ask you to pay for the initial session, at your second session.
I work on a Tuesday afternoon and evening, Wednesday afternoon and evening and Friday daytime. If I don’t have any spaces available (either at standard or reduced rate), I have a waiting list which clients can join if they wish, once they have attended an initial session, and wait for a session to become available.
Currently I am completely full and don’t have any capacity to take on new clients. However, I would be happy to offer you an initial session to see if we feel we could work together, and if you’re happy to wait for a session to come free, add you to my waiting list. If this is something you would like to do, please contact me, I would be happy to arrange an appointment for us to discuss this further.
